Community Consultation: Croydon

The NSW Government is committed to tackling the housing crisis.

Part of the plan is to boost the supply of homes in areas that are walkable to train stations. Croydon has been identified by the Planning Department as one of 31 suburbs with this potential.

My office is seeking more details from the Department about the proposal (including about the timeframe, consultation, quality controls, infrastructure investment, protection of heritage, etc). I want to ensure that the community’s voice and input are heard.

We know that good decisions are made when our community is listened to. We have a shared responsibility in addressing the housing crisis, but new homes need to be built in the right places and with quality, amenity and appropriate protection of heritage in mind. To make sure that development is done well, I firmly believe we need to consult with our community.

We’ve set up this feedback form, so you can have your say.
